Hatz at Conexpo 2020: innovative, customer-oriented, reliable and IoT-ready
Hatz presents another milestone in engine development at Conexpo, in the form of its electronic engine control unit for single-cylinder engines.
10 March 2020
At Conexpo 2020, from 10 to 14 March in Las Vegas, USA, Hatz is focussing on its customer, application and service-oriented strategy and exhibiting the world’s first electronically controlled fuel injection system and digital control unit for single-cylinder diesel engines in the industrial sector.
In doing so, Hatz is the first to bridge the gap between its B-series and D-series engines, which have in the past been mechanically controlled, and the requirements of modern, digitalised companies. With E1 technology Hatz is paving the way for moving hand-guided machines, mobile light masts and power generators, for example, into the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). This means that the requirements have been met for the first time for digital solutions in this equipment category. With this technological basis, the phase of adapting solutions to the needs of machinery manufacturers and operators and of the international service organisation will be presented at Conexpo.
Hatz engine manufacturing: tradition and ground-breaking engineering
With its E1 technology, Hatz continues its tradition of innovative developments that the engine specialist has impressively demonstrated since the beginning of the 20th century. This includes, for example, the development of the flat seat injector (a significant development in the history of diesel engines) the first diesel engine made of light metal, the progress toward creating the world’s most powerful single-cylinder diesel, 90-percent sound insulation and the first industrial diesel following the downsizing principle.
“In all these developments, the quality and ease of handling of the engines are harmonised with the needs of the customers and the users. With our new E1 technology, Hatz offers the platform for the next logical step, to integrate machinery with compact engines into the advancing progress of digitalisation”, explains Bernhard Richter-Schützeneder, General Sales and Marketing Manager at Hatz.
