Hatz is expanding its digital offering. With Performance Tracking, the technology company has launched the first product of its Hatz Digital Solutions. Performance Tracking monitors the condition and maximizes the productivity of compact construction machinery and equipment.

Connect Compact Machines Digitally with Ease

The digitalization of compact construction equipment such as vibrating plate compactors offers huge potential for construction companies and equipment rental companies. Until now, digitalization and automation efforts in the industry have mostly been directed at larger classes of machines. Hatz Performance Tracking, as a plug-and-play solution, now enables the fast and uncomplicated digital connection of construction equipment to your fleet management system, as Dr. Maren Hellwig, the person responsible for digital business development at Hatz, explains: "With Performance Tracking, machine operators have access to the operating and position data of their compact equipment fleet in no time at all. All that is needed is the easily retrofittable Hatz IoT module and a corresponding license agreement." The Hatz IoT module is a very compact and robust component for data transmission that is mounted close to the engine.

Hatz is expanding its digital offer. With the Hatz Digital Solutions, the technology company makes it possible to maximize the efficiency and profitability of operating processes with a simple IoT-module that is easy to retrofit. At Bauma 2022, Hatz will present the Digital Solutions to the wider public.

Greater efficiency and profitability for compact machine operators thanks to Hatz Digital Solutions

Hatz Performance Tracking is the first product from the Digital Solutions series. It is already being trialed by model customers. Performance Tracking is a fleet management service that supplies structured information, such as the operating status, consumption, or location of digitally connected Hatz engines. For instance, this information can be used to optimize the planning for the machine fleet, implement geofencing, or optimize maintenance points. This allows fleet operators to benefit from needs-based operation with maximum productivity and profitability. Delays on the construction site are avoided, while theft and unauthorized use are prevented or at least impeded.

Engine Maintenance of the Future

Tuesday, 21 December 2021 – Motorenfabrik Hatz and system provider Sontheim Industrie Elektronik are collaborating within the context of the joint project called KIM – Künstliche Intelligenz zur Motorinstandhaltung (artificial intelligence for engine maintenance). In the coming years, digital solutions will be developed that will enable engines to predict maintenance cases based on usage and automatically request the appropriate service.
