Only recently, the company unveiled a series of innovations at the leading trade fair, which make the operation of engines and the machines in which they operate more economic, environmentally friendly and better for the health of the machine operators.

Innovative and Economic Diesel Technology Protects Your Health and the Environment

Hatz recently presented its newly developed E1 DPF technology. By combining the Hatz E1 technology (electronic 1-cylinder controller) and a passive diesel particulate filter (DPF), the particle emissions of compact drives can be slashed by up to 95 percent. The integration of occupational safety in the drive system protects the health of the machine operators.

The combination of the Hatz E1 technology (electronic one-cylinder control) and the first series diesel particulate filter (DPF) for compact engines under 19 kilowatts significantly reduces emissions and thus helps improve occupational safety for machine operators. Hatz will show the system at bauma 2022 in Munich.

Integrated occupational safety thanks to unique exhaust gas treatment

Climate change and its associated requirements for reducing harmful emissions pose major challenges for engine manufacturers. Hatz is now also addressing these challenges in the single-cylinder industrial diesel segment below 19 kilowatts. The combination of the Hatz E1 technology and a passive DPF system means the emissions of compact drives can be massively reduced once again. This protects the environment, but above all also the health of the machine operators, especially in hand-guided applications where workers are active in the immediate vicinity of the engine.

Three single-cylinder models from the B-series and D-series are available now.

Market launch of a new engine generation with E1 technology

Motorenfabrik Hatz launches its new E1 technology with the world’s first engine control unit for single-cylinder industrial diesels. With all this, the engine specialist is bridging the gap between engines that were once mechanically controlled and the requirements of modern companies with digital operations. This is an important milestone for the development and future of light equipment, especially for mechanical engineering companies. At the top of the power range there is an engine model from the D-series, followed by three B-series engines.

From the 10th to the 14th of March 2020, industry leaders will be meeting up at Conexpo, North America’s biggest construction trade show, in Las Vegas.

Reason enough for the long-established German company Hatz to present some of its new ideas and achievements. From Connected Services and the introduction of augmented reality in maintenance to the market launch of the engine generation featuring E1 technology and the start of production of a new power package: the Hatz 3H50T.

First single-cylinder engine with electronic control receives Tier 4 final certificate

At the beginning of January, Hatz's latest generation of engines with E1 technology received their first emission certificates. This is an important milestone for the development and future of "light equipment", especially for mechanical engineering companies whose target market is North America. This is the first time that single-cylinder industrial diesel engines with electronic injection and control have been certified according to the currently valid US standard EPA Tier 4 final. The Hatz 1D90E engine is the peak performer of the range. At almost eleven kilowatts (14 horsepower), it is the most powerful single-cylinder diesel in the world. Hatz 1B50E, 1B30E and 1B30VE cover the output ranges up to around eight (11 horsepower) and five kilowatts (6 horsepower) respectively with extremely compact dimensions.

Straight to the top with innovation: Hatz honored with an important international award for engine technology

Engine manufacturer Hatz brought the Diesel Progress Award for Achievement of the Year 2019 in the area of drive systems to Lower Bavaria. The company from Ruhstorf an der Rott, Southern Germany successfully won out against hundreds of applicants and three other finalists and was awarded the coveted prize at a festive gala on September 30 in Louisville, Kentucky. The decisive factor for the nomination was Hatz's latest development, which not only drives small machines in a cleaner way, but also integrates them into the digital world for the first time.

In the category "Achievement of the year", Motorenfabrik Hatz with its E1 technology has been nominated as one of four finalists for the Diesel Progress Award.

The awards honour the most important individual developments in the drive system sector for mobile machines and equipment from the years 2018 and 2019. The topics covered by the awards range from initiatives to regulate emissions and new technologies to important approaches for the Internet of Things and telematics. Among hundreds of applicants for the award, Hatz was able to qualify in the group of finalists. The decisive factor in the application was the E1 technology as a quantum leap for lightweight equipment, leading small machines and equipment into the networked future.

With the new E1 technology, Hatz is now also bringing single-cylinder engines of the B-series and D-series for small devices into an interlinked future.
