Hatz at Conexpo in Las Vegas: Connected services and market launch of new models
From the 10th to the 14th of March 2020, industry leaders will be meeting up at Conexpo, North America’s biggest construction trade show, in Las Vegas.
10 March 2020
Reason enough for the long-established German company Hatz to present some of its new ideas and achievements. From Connected Services and the introduction of augmented reality in maintenance to the market launch of the engine generation featuring E1 technology and the start of production of a new power package: the Hatz 3H50T.
Hatz employs augmented reality in maintenance
Science fiction becomes reality for Hatz and its customers in the form of augmented reality. The aim is to provide employees and customers with an especially comprehensive tool using digital technology, to ensure that maintenance jobs can be completed quickly and easily. The core of this is an interactive user interface developed by Hatz, which is used in conjunction with mixed-reality-compatible devices such as headsets or tablets. This delivers particular benefits for maintenance and training.

New interface solution – using data from small equipment for business processes
Motorenfabrik Hatz supports its customers' business models with connected solutions. Hatz Connected Services make scenarios that are familiar from the automotive and agricultural machinery industry possible without using another app. Customers are provided with all relevant engine information and analyses via multifunctional, standardised interfaces to aid efficient use of resources. The advantage for customers lies in the benefits of data transfer. Service technicians know about the state of the engine before they travel to the customer, meaning that they arrive best prepared for the service or maintenance. This creates considerable time and cost savings.

Market launch of a new engine generation with E1 technology
Hatz presents another milestone in engine development at Conexpo, in the form of its electronic engine control unit for single-cylinder engines. The company focuses on its customer, application and service-oriented strategy and exhibits the world’s first electronically controlled fuel injection and digital engine control unit for single-cylinder diesel engines in the industrial sector. By doing so, Hatz is bridging the gap between previously mechanically controlled engines and the requirements of modern companies with digital operations. This is an important milestone for the development and future of "light equipment", especially for mechanical engineering companies. Three models of the single-cylinder diesel engines from the B-series and D-series are available now.

Production start for a new power package: the Hatz 3H50T
Technical refinements, ultra-compact dimensions and the best fuel efficiency in its class set the standards in the development of the H-series from Hatz. The German company is now upping the ante with its modern series and is offering the 3H50T model with immediate effect. Impressive power and inner values in a tiny space. Above all, the fact that the 3H50T, delivering almost 1150 Pound-force-inch (130 Newton meters) of torque and 25 horsepower (18.4 kilowatts), is thoroughly capable of replacing engines from one performance class above. The 3H50T is currently the engine with the highest torque in its class and it achieves the EPA Tier 4 Final standard in the USA and EU Stage V without exhaust emission after-treatment. The Hatz 3H50T is also available as a complete system ex-works, as ready-to-install open power unit (OPU).
