Hatz service innovation with “Smart Parts”

Future-proof and reliable engines have been the Hatz engine factory's core business for more than a century. To ensure that customers and partners have an innovative and ground-breaking service, the engine manufacturer Hatz is introducing Hatz Smart Parts.

This new online solution gives machine operators, distribution and service partners simple, quick and reliable access via mobile phone or tablet to replacement parts lists, handbooks, operating instructions, maintenance schedules and tips as well as photos of parts.

Find Smart Parts quickly and easily using the QR Code

Using Hatz Smart Parts, the search for replacement parts and information on Hatz engine types is very easy. Partners and customers can simply use their preferred scanner app on their mobile devices to capture the QR Code on the Hatz engine, and the right web page of the corresponding Hatz engine model is quickly displayed. This means there is no more need to manually search through the extensive books and lists. This gives the device operator the option to request replacement parts directly from their location, such as on a building site or in a factory workshop, and order via the Hatz service network. A bonus for service partners: The new online offer greatly reduces the time taken for telephone support of customers with the previous manual parts search.

Smart Parts for Hatz engines using the QR Code is available in German, English, Spanish and French. Another planned extension to the service is the automatic lookup of the closest distribution partner via an online map. This will for example allow the machine operator to conveniently order his replacement parts from somewhere close to his current location. This function is particularly useful for companies whose machines are operated not just on a regional level but across Germany, Europe or worldwide.
