Hatz with world premiere at SMM 2016 [PRESS KIT]
Motorenfabrik Hatz introduces its new three-cylinder diesel 3H50 in Hamburg for the first time to the marine industry
21 July 2016
The Marine Competence Centre of Motorenfabrik Hatz presents individual solutions for marine propulsion as well as for the use in generators and pumps at the SMM in Hamburg on stand A3.201.
From 6th to 9th of September the liquid-cooled three-cylinder Hatz 3H50TIC engine from the new H-series will celebrate its world premiere in the marine industry. Hatz will also show the bigger, marinised four-cylinder 4H50TIC as well as a propulsion solution powered by its air-cooled single-cylinder Hatz 1B50. The Southern German engine manufacturer addresses with its product and solution portfolio boat manufacturers, shipyards and marinisers.
H-series: the new generation
By introducing the 55 kilowatts powerful Hatz 4H50TIC in 2014 a completely new developed Hatz engine generation was launched. All engines are characterised by a conservative innovative concept, the common-rail technology from Bosch, the compact dimensions and the exclusive use of premium components. Due to iHACS (intelligent Hatz Advanced Combustion Strategy) the engines comply with the current exhaust emission standards partial even without exhaust gas treatment and performance at reduced noise and vibration levels are assured.
The start of the smaller three-cylinder model range from 2018 foreshadows at the SMM by the Hatz 3H50TIC. Thanks to the turbo charger and the intercooler the engines have a maximum torque of 200 newton meters and a maximum power of 46 kilowatts. This all requires an installation space of less than a fifth of a cubic meter. With a capacity of 1.5 litres and a maximum speed of 2800 revolutions per minute this three-cylinder engine sets standards.
Made for the fishing industry
Especially for the commercial and recreational fishers Hatz offers a propulsion unit based on the air-cooled single-cylinder diesel 1B50. With a maximum output of 7.9 kilowatts and including transmission the solution is characterised by its compact dimensions, low weight and easy start.
